Weekends are Always Better

Weekends are always better! Saturday 9/24 was a much better day, and the beach was the perfect place to be. Larry was in New York, and having missed the downtown train was unable to make it to the club meeting. Bob, not sure if Paul would attend, headed to the gym, so Paul was the lone club member on the beach Saturday morning. Oh well, more slushy for Paul!
The ocean was spectacular, with a cool tropical breeze to help make the day perfect.
Sunday Bob and Paul made it to the beach, and larry, having caught the right train (plane) early Sunday morning joined the other members for a great day on the beach.
Here Paul & Larry can be seen taking a moment from body surfing in the waves.
Next weekend the club is expecting international jet-setters to join them on beautiful Deerfield beach

Rainy Gray Day on the Beach

It is a rainy gray day on the beach.
| 85 °F Mostly Cloudy | |
Fortunately the club members are all working, so are not on the beach. All this bad weather is due to Hurricane Rita. As can be seen, outer bands from Rita are giving us our cloudy and rainy weather.
The club members will have a full report from "Bob's Patio" at the next club meeting

TS/Hurricane Rita Hits the Club Meeting Place

Tropical Storm / Hurricane Rita sweeps past Key West today. The 11 O'Clock Club meeting space is buffetted by the tropical force winds, heavy surf and rains. The club members will have to check on beach erosion on Saturday. The beach was improving after Hurricane katrina. Hopefully Rita will not cause as much sand loss.
Check back for more updates later in the week, and for club minutes after Saturdays meeting!
